24 Weeks: Back to Baby Bliss

We had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving with the news that Baby Fish was all in the clear.  Despite the doctor thinking it would be difficult for me to bounce back emotionally from all the hard news lately Brett and I found it remarkably easy to wash our hands of the past couple months and fully embrace the Baby Bliss.

Thanksgiving, what can I say, I never realized just what an amazing holiday this is. I found it incredibly easy to celebrate this year...I'm going to start a petition to re-name Thanksgiving to "The Best Day Ever For Pregnant Women Worldwide."  An excuse to eat, and eat a lot! And you don't have to be ashamed to rock your childhood obsession with sparkling cider, why did I ever stop drinking that stuff!?  Apparently the tryptophan from the turkey didn't phase Baby Fish because all of a sudden I am able to feel all his little punches and kicks - and boy is he an active one - he must get his energy from the Fisher side.  Brett also got to feel a kick for the first time this week (technically he thought he felt one a few weeks back but between you and me I'm pretty sure it was just a gas bubble).  Now when we are lounging about I'll feel his hand sneak onto my belly and start poking around to get baby to kick again - so far, Baby Fish is about as well trained as our dog and doesn't respond to any of our commands.

BAM! The Turkey Day Baby Bump!
