41 Weeks: Commencing Operation Exodus

The 41 Week Belly - and the slightly impatient Mama-To-Be

Okay, now it's Sunday and the big finale was suppose to happen last Sunday - what gives?  As I was getting ready last week I tuned into one of my favorite Pandora stations, "Motown," and was delighted to hear the first song which was the Temptations "Get Ready." I thought for sure with lyrics like "Look out baby, 'cause here I come!" were a sign that everything was about to go down. Giddy with excitement I danced away as I made breakfast. Then Pandora had to go and burst my bubble with the next song being "You Can't Hurry Love" by The Supremes  -
"You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
You got to trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes...."

Hmm - I started to think the world is turning on me. It was time to take matters into our own hands - time to commence operation exodus!

The Plan:

We thought for sure this would be the extra push Baby Fish needed to want to leave his comfy 98.6 degree condo at Chateau de Mama - but seeing as how it is Sunday, and that was Thursday I'm starting to think all these "strategies" are old wives tales posted on the internet to give impatient mama's hope. Silly parents - haven't we learned over the past 9 months that our precious little man is as stubborn as his parents and will do things on his own timeline? Leave it to our little Drama King to make a fashionably late entrance into the world.
